CONYERS — You’re invited to a viewing party for the season premiere of “The Originals” in Olde Town Conyers Thursday night.

The Olde Town Conyers merchants and the Conyers Main Street Foundation are showing the premiere on a 21-foot inflatable screen on Commercial Street.

“This is a decision made by the OTC merchants and to celebrate Olde Town being in the show and to enjoy the premiere with the rest of the community and series fans,” said Monica Coffin, Main Street program manager.

The premiere is at 9 p.m., and Olde Town merchants and restaurants will be open beforehand. Everyone is encouraged to bring blankets or chairs for comfort. Commercial Street will be closed from 6 p.m. to midnight. Alcohol and pets are not allowed.

“The Originals” is a spin-off of “The Vampire Diaries” airing on The CW Network. It was filmed in Olde Town over the summer. The series focuses on the original family of vampires introduced on “The Vampire Diaries” in April and is set in New Orleans.

It stars Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies and Claire Holt as vampire siblings returning to their hometown after being exiled centuries ago.

“The Originals” is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with My So-Called Company, Alloy Entertainment, Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios.
