Mansfield man charged with robbing two women

CONYERS — A Mansfield man has been accused of robbing and holding two women against their will in an extended stay hotel in Conyers.

According to the incident report completed by Conyers Police Department Officer E. Searcy, two women, ages 19 and 20, came to the Police Department on Sept. 1 to report that the night before, Aug. 30, they had both been robbed and sexually assaulted by an acquaintance while staying at the Horizon Extended Stay in Conyers.

The case was assigned to CPD’s Criminal Investigation Division.

After about a month’s investigation, Mitchell Garrett Wilbanks, 25, of 2087 Rocky Creek Road in Mansfield was arrested on Sept. 24 and charged with two counts of false imprisonment and two counts of robbery.
