John D. Strickland

Army National Guard Pvt. John D. Strickland has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.

Strickland is the son of John Strickland of Covington and Traci Hantz of Jonesboro.

Kyron J. Washington

Army Pfc. Kyron J. Washington has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.

Washington is the son of Kimbralyn Phillips of Vacherie, La., and nephew of Delois Jackson of Conyers. He is a 2012 graduate of St. James High School in Lutcher, La.

Rickeshia N. Calhoun

Army Pfc. Rickeshia N. Calhoun has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.

Calhoun is the daughter of Carolyn Walker of Covington and Ricky Calhoun of Riverdale. She is a 2008 graduate of Newton High School.

Daniel U. Dallas

Army Pvt. Daniel U. Dallas has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.

Dallas is the son of Audrey Dallas of Conyers. He is a 2011 graduate of Heritage High School.
