RCSO searches for 4 men in violent home invasion

CONYERS — Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office deputies continue to search for four men who reportedly broke into a family’s home overnight and held them at gunpoint while robbing the house.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the four men forced their way into a home on Bordeaux Lane in the Lionsgate subdivision located on Flat Shoals Road near the intersection with Smyrna Road around 1 a.m. Friday. Inside the home were two adult women, ages 24 and 21, along with three children, ranging in age from newborn to about 6 years, said RCSO Investigator Michael Camp.

The four men woke up the occupants, rounded them up at gunpoint and ransacked the house, Camp said. They stole multiple electronics before leaving in an unidentified vehicle.

The victims described the perpetrators as four black men, dressed in all black with their faces covered and armed with handguns.

Deputies and investigators are working to gather more details on the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office at 770-278-8000 or Investigator Troy Anderson at 770-278-8157.
