"I agree that the BOC needs to go line by line on the county budget. We citizens just can't afford another tax increase right now. First Obama and now this! Why haven't we heard about bids from different health carriers for county health insurance. Who elected Gary Massey for this job? Who's paying him? Were other companies allowed to even bid? Why does this board insist on disregarding the entire bidding process for every tax dollar they spend? This has got to be illegal! Just like the lawn care fiasco and their new IPADS, this group proves over and over and over again how careless they are with our hard-earned money."

"Why did Eddie Johnson vote against the new superintendent contract? Why don't reporters push this man for the answers as to why he and Almond Turner vote no and vote the same. They are losing all their votes and are now very irrelevant. What shameful members of the Board of Bad Grammar. They voted no in 2012 on Mrs. Fuhrey. They voted no in 2013 to Mrs. Fuhrey. Now Eddie votes no on her contract, so ask the tough questions and expose these two."

Editor's note: Mr. Johnson was asked to explain why he voted against the superintendent's contract. He declined to comment.

"My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the devastating E5 tornado in Oklahoma. God was merciful during this horror. Considering the magnitude and size, the death toll could easily have been 500 or more, instead of 24. We praise His name."

"What a joke, only I am not laughing. It is reported that Obama will be appointing his own committee, separate from the Congressional one, to investigate the IRS scandal. That's like having a group of foxes determine who has been raiding the hen houses. Lois Lerner, the top IRS official, who was targeting the conservative organizations for audits and unconscionable invasions of privacy, source of donations, context of any meetings and even books they read and what they prayed, has invoked the Fifth Amendment. What does this tell you? As far as I am concerned, any person who hides behind the Fifth Amendment, to avoid answering questions, is guilty as sin. She is obviously trying to protect the individual her orders came from. She certainly did not come up with this idea on her own. Maybe the Congressional Committee should subpoena Valerie Jarrett. She is Obama's right-hand advisor. Nothing happens in the White House without her knowledge and approval."

"Sure wish the county would get someone to sharpen or replace the blades on those tractor-pulled mowers. The recent mowing along 278 (the grand highway to Baxter) looks like some long haired hippie just got a real cheap haircut with a Weedeater."

Editor's Note: The county is not responsible for maintaining U.S. Hwy. 278, which is a federal highway.
