Newton County Humane Society donates to NCSO K-9 Unit

The Humane Society of Newton County recently presented a check in the amount of $500 to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office to be used to purchase vests for K-9 officers. “Their partnership shows they are just as concerned about the K-9s as well as the Uniform Patrol Division,” said Sheriff Ezell Brown (far right) in thanking the organization for the donation. Making the presentation are (l-r) Newton County Animal Control Director Teri Key-Hooson, Cathy Burgoyne, Betty Bellairs and Susan DesJardins. - Special photo
