Newton’s 5-foot, 6-inch guard Micah Sneed helped the Lady Rams achieve everything they did with her defensive skills. She helped the Lady Rams keep their opponents to less than 45 points a game including holding Jackson, Atlanta to 16 points. “She didn’t score a lot but she was a role player,” Newton head coach Tiffani Johnson said. “She was one of our biggest assests. She could guard the best player on the other team.” Sneed, who is heading to West Georgia Tech in Carrollton, scored 6.4 points a game while averaging two assists and three rebounds. Sitting with Sneed for her signing is her mother, Melissa Sneed, and, standing from left, Newton athleic director Tracey Curtis, assistant coach Lavonne White, Johnson and Newton principal Craig Lockhart.
