Covington resident Betty Moseley shops the Newton Medical Center's Masquerade Jewelry sale and is finding plenty of bargains. She plans on giving herself a few Mother's Day gifts, as well as treating her daughter with items from the sale, which has become a Newton County tradition. The sale features not only jewelry, but scarves and even sundresses which are proving to be very popular this year. Twenty percent of all sales go to the NMC Auxiliary which is currently raising funds to support the expansion of the hospital's emergency room and other health services. The sale is ongoing today and Wednesday in the hospital lobby from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Everything is $5. - Photos by Sue Ann Kuhn-Smith
