Local strawberry growers say fields are ready the public to visit and fill their buckets with the fresh juicy fruit. Strawberries should be available until end of May and the next two weeks the fruit will be at its peak, due to the rain and cool evenings and mornings. Nearby pick-your-own farms include Southern Belle in McDonough, Cottle Farms in Stockbridge and Mitcham Farm in Oxford.
