CPD donates $1K to Special Olympics

The City of Covington Police Department recently donated $1,000 to Newton County Special Olympics Equestrian team out of its Police Who Care fund. This money was used to help fund the athletes at their equestrian competitions. They competed regionally and then competed in the state events in Perry. Some representatives of the Equestrian team accepted the check from the police officers.
