Conyers Main Street Manager Monica Coffin, a member of the Georgia Downtown Association (GDA) Board of Directors, recently participated in the organization's annual planning retreat Feb. 26 and 27, at the Currahee Club in Toccoa.

GDA is a nonprofit association that promotes the economic redevelopment of Georgia's traditional downtowns and consists of 150 members throughout Georgia. The board is comprised of individuals representing all regions of Georgia's downtowns from Tybee Island to Dahlonega.

At the planning retreat, the board reviewed the organization's accomplishments as well as membership survey results from the 2012 Georgia Downtown Conference held in LaGrange.
