Covington Police Chief Stacey Cotton was recently honored by the Georgia State Senate with a resolution commending his achievement of being named The Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police Outstanding Chief of the Year for 2012-13. Cotton received the honor last summer at the GACP annual convention. The proclamation lauded Cotton for his career achievements and "the selfless dedication he exhibits in carrying out the difficult duties of his position."
