Alyesa Wood, a sixth grader who attends Newton County Theme School, is sculpting an owl from clay during the art camp. This is her fifth time to attend the camp and said she totally enjoys it.

Area rising fifth graders get their creative juices flowing with a little music as they attend the Arts Association in Newton County's Creative Kids Camp at Oxford College. Enthusiastically participating in the program are (front, l-r) Jeffrey Lowe of Newton County, Jaylen Germany of Rockdale County and Donovan Davis of Newton County, along with other campers who are being taught to appreciate music by instructor Alan Bunn. Bunn teaches music in Oconee County schools and also at First Presbyterian Church in Covington.The students will perform what they've learned for parents and friends Friday, the last day of the camp. - Staff photos by Sue Ann Kuhn-Smith
