Lookout issued for missing Conyers woman

CONYERS — The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office has issued a lookout for a Conyers woman who was last seen leaving a friend’s house on Green Street on Wednesday, July 24. No one has heard from her since.

Authorities said 40-year-old Jennifer Carman Richardson drives a yellow 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt with Georgia license plate PFT4095.

RCSO Investigator Michael Camp said foul play is not suspected in Richardson’s disappearance. He said she was in the process of moving to Conyers from Loganville and spent the night with a female friend on Green Street on the night of July 23. He said she left on the morning of July 24 and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. Camp said the RCSO has been checking with area hospitals and hotels and is checking bank and phone records but has not yet turned up any substantial leads.

Richardson is described as a white female, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. She has short brown hair, brown eyes and several tattoos. She was last seen wearing a dark tank top, light blue jeans, sandals and a dark baseball hat.

In an unrelated case, the RCSO continues to seek information about a woman who walked away from her personal care home on Briar Hill Lane near Salem Road on July 22.

According to the RCSO, Katherine Ferris, 61, is under state care for mental illness and has a history of assaulting others when not on medication. The RCSO advises caution if contact is made with Ferris.

The missing woman is described as a white female; 5 feet, 5 inches tall; and weighing 200 pounds. She has long brown hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a pink shirt, blue jeans and white Reebok shoes. She is known to frequent fast-food restaurants, according to the RCSO.
