Salem trio gives back

The Salem boys basketball team not only had a productive summer on the court, but some of the players are having a memorable school break off the court as well. David Noble, Austin Samuel and Rodney Freeman all recently participated in the Camp Twin Lakes camp for muscular dystrophy.

The trio of Seminoles helped children afflicted with muscular dystrophy at the camp, which has been held in Rutledge since 1993.

“It is a good opportunity for these young men to make a difference around the community,” said Salem coach Noah Harrell. “I am very proud because these young men are trying to be well-rounded in their life.”

Camp Twin Lakes has a wealth of information on its programs and how to support their cause at camptwinlakes.org.
