Reconstruction company sponsors construction safety fair
NORCROSS – Paul Davis Restoration and Remodeling of North Atlanta will serve as a sponsor for the Georgia Hispanic Construction Association’s Construction Safety Fair on July 28. The fair is free and open to the public with live music, demonstration and prizes and entertainment for families.
The GHCA is a non-profit 501(c) (6) membership organization established to develop and promote the Hispanic construction industry in Georgia.

Kroger donates to ‘Honoring Our Heroes’ campaign
ATLANTA – Kroger customers in the Atlanta Division’s “Round-Up” and “Honoring Our Heroes” campaigns with the support of the United Service Organization, raised $382,000. The goal of $250,000 was surpassed by more than $130,000.
The USO is a “nonprofit, congressionally chartered, private organization; the USO relies on the generosity of individuals, organization and corporations to support its activities.”
Kroger customers were asked to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar during the weeks of June 30 to July 13. During the two week campaign, Kroger promoted popular products at special sale prices including Coca Cola, Kraft, Nestle, Frito Lay, Procter and Gamble, ConAgra and Dannon.
Jackson EMC honors local companies with grants
LAWRENCEVILLE — The Jackson Electric Membership Corporation awarded $35,880 in grants during their June meeting to five agencies serving Gwinnett County residents .
The companies receiving grants in Gwinnett were Next Stop, Good Samaritan Health Center, Lilburn Cooperative Ministry, Partnership Against Domestic Violence and Lekotek of Georgia.
