CONYERS -- After getting swept by Tuscaloosa 11-6 and 13-8 at home on Tuesday, Rockdale went on the road to win both weekend games.
Post 77 won the first game against Dawsonville 27-10 on Saturday before taking care of Loganville 10-1 on Sunday.
"We had a stern heart-to-heart before our games this weekend and they responded very well. It was one of those type of deals where they listened and I did all the talking," Rockdale manager Demarco Hamm said. "I'm pretty sure they'll stay focused from here on out.
"Basically, it was a look in the mirror and had a conversation about how we can play better than what we displayed in those two games against Tuscaloosa."
Against Dawsonville, Post 77 had the hot bats with 28 hits including nine for extra-bases.
Cameron Ragsdale went 3-for-5 with a pair over the fence.
Also going yard were Keith Buckhault and Cole Murphy who's home run came with the bases loaded. Going for two-baggers were Buckhault, Murphy, Meisha Briem and Hunter Ballard with Jake Wright, who went 4-for-5, getting a triple.
Murphy led the team with six RBIs with Zack Bailey and Ragsdale driving in five each.
Josh Smith got the win throwing 4 innings giving up five earned runs with Cole Hamilton closing out the game.
"Against Loganville, Cole Murphy had another good game going long ball again going 3-for-6," said Hamm. "Jake Wright went 3-for-4, Zack Bailey had three RBIs with a home run."
Also getting extra-base hits -- doubles -- as part of their 13-hit game were Eric Alderman, Wright, Murphy and Briem.
"We had out outstanding pitching that game. Casey Shubert went seven innings and only gave up one earned run," Hamm said. "We'll crank it back up on Saturday in Canton."
Rockdale will be back at home against Canton on Thursday, July 11.
