A crew with Design Installation lays PVC piping for electrical wiring along Floyd Street. Pictured are Foreman Biente Romero, Anthony Valderas, Adiel Molina and Juan Valdera. According to Utilities Director Bill Meecham, “The City is having electricity for decorative/accent lighting run to the tree wells to illuminate the trees for festive occasions. This is an extension of the project to build the tree wells that was undertaken to improve our plantings and overall appearance downtown.” The work on the electric installation is being done by R and E Electric, a local contractor. R and E has subcontracted with Design Installation to do the additional work required to route the power to the tree wells from nearby utility poles.
