Newton's Marie Diaz recently inked her intentions to play softball for the Andrew College Lady Tigers where she will play short stop. In her senior year, Diaz led the Lady Rams in hitting with a .351 average as well as in slugging percentage, home runs and extra-base hits. Supporting Diaz in her decision to play for Andrew College are, standing from left, Gregg Cowan (coach), Naomi Pabom (aunt), Ashley Coles (coach), Josue Diaz (brother) and Newton head coach Virginia Waters. Along side Diaz are her cousin, Iara Molina, and her mother, Iris Pabom.
