COVINGTON — The Covington Regional Ballet has announced they are seeking dancers, ages 5 to 11 years, for the spring production of “Snow White.” Only elementary school age youngsters will be considered.
Auditions will be held at Mainstream Dance Studio at 1114 College Ave., located between Merle Norman and Amici restaurant on Feb. 9. Children 5 to 7 years of age will be auditioned from 10 to 10:30 a.m. and older children will be auditioned from 10:30 to 11 a.m.
The performance will be approximately an hour in length and will be performed following repertory pieces performed by the ballet company on May 4 and 5.
Dancers from all studios are welcome to take part in the auditions. A participation fee is charged and the families of cast members are asked to volunteer for the production. No child will be turned away due to financial need and scholarships are available through the Newton County Arts Association.
