Veteran elected officials were recently recognized for their service to the public at the Rockdale County Community Appreciation Celebration. Honorees included, front row from left, retired Rockdale County Chief Superior Court Judge Sidney Nation, former Rockdale County Tax Commissioner Dan Ray, former Rockdale County School Board members Jean Yontz and Darlene Hotchkiss, back row from left, former Rockdale County Sheriff Jeff Wigington, former Rockdale County Coroner Dr. Stephen Boyle, former Rockdale County Probate Court Judge Lillis Brown, former Rockdale County School Board member Don McKinney and former Rockdale County Chief Magistrate Judge Rudy Horne. Together, the elected officials had a combined total of 148 years of service to the citizens of Rockdale County.
