The Pre-K4 and K5 classes from Piedmont Academy learned about Southern Christmas traditions, as they took a field trip to the Jarrell Plantation in Juliette. The students learned and saw how children of the late 1800's and early 1900's lived, celebrated and decorated for Christmas. Both classes decorated wooden ornaments and hung them on a cedar tree inside one of the many family houses still standing at Jarrell Plantation. The visit concluded with a candy cane hunt and each child receiving a toy representative of the era. K4 is taught by Jennifer Sanders and K5 is taught by Julie Tucker.
