Pets Billy and Corey are looking for new homes

This handsome fellow named Corey, an Australian/shepherd mix, is about two years old and is full grown at approximately 40 pounds. He was picked up as a stray but would be happy to settle down again with a new home. He's been dewormed and had his shots, so he's ready to go. He can be rescued and adopted at Rockdale County Animal Care and Control Shelter at 1506 Rockbridge Road in Conyers. At the Rockdale shelter adoption fees for dogs are $30 and $20 for cats. Spaying or neutering is required for adoption. The shelter is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The phone number is 770-278-8403.

This little hound dog Billy is about 10 weeks old. He has two brothers and one sister who are just as adorable as he is. They'd all like a new cozy home for the new year. Billy has had his first vaccination and deworming and can be rescued and adopted at Newton County Animal Shelter, located at 210 Lower River Road in Covington. The shelter usually has between 20 to 30 dogs and an equal number of cats eligible for adoption. The adoption fee for a dog or puppy is $25 and $10 for a cat or kitten. Spaying/neutering is mandatory for all animals. The shelter is open from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The phone number is 770-786-9514.
