Rockdale County Special Olympic teams recently participated in the State Indoor Winter Special Olympics Games in Cobb County, which included basketball, bowling, floor hockey, roller skating, power lifting and gymnastics. Members of the Rockdale junior unified basketball team, the Rockdale Rockstars, which includes Special Olympians and non-Special Olympians, shown here, received a silver medal at the games. The Rockdale masters team, which includes players age 22 and above, the Rockdale Rockets, also earned a silver medal, and the other Rockdale masters team, the Rockdale Rampage, received the bronze metal.
