Middle school students in Serena Cain's third period eighth-grade physical science class at Piedmont Academy recently made styrofoam cars to illustrate velocity and momentum. The cars transported eggs and tested them on a downward ramp into a wall to see if their version of the car would protect the egg. Tyler Mills' car protected his egg the longest by remaining uncracked until the ramp was at a 45 degree angle.
