"A really big thanks to the Covington Kiwanis Club for having such a wonderful and well-organized road race. The Pancake Stampede 5k and One-Mile on Feb. 2. It was a lot of fun, and it was evident that a lot of hard work, planning, and thoughtfulness went into the project. Thanks again!"
"I was calling about the Feb 3 poll where there was a comment about tests that discriminate. Some people spend way too much time partying and not enough time studying. I've heard discrimination enough to last me the rest of my life."
"I was calling about the Carpenters ... Thank God, Greyhound and $70,000 they ard gone and I hope whoever hired these people has learned a lesson from this and will not make the same mistake again."
"As a taxpayer of Newton County, I have a question for the board of commissioners and the county manager. How can an employee or department head who is not connected with the emergency services be allowed to drive a county vehicle to and from work for no apparent reason? I feel this is a bad waste of taxpayer's money and I hope the board and the county manager address this matter and get it resolved as soon as possible."

The commissioners don't need take home vehicle's. First responders need them especially the ones who are on call all the time.
