Former long-time Newton County resident Tina Mayeaux will be returning to the area to serve in the role of managing partner of the Covington LongHorn Steakhouse restaurant. A LongHorn veteran of five years, Mayeaux previously lived in Covington for 20-plus years and returns from Fort Smith, Ark., where she opened a new restaurant location.
As managing partner, Mayeaux oversees all aspects of the restaurant's operations including managing a team of approximately 70 team members.
"LongHorn Steakhouse has a proud history of being a place where people can fulfill their professional goals and career aspirations, and we are especially proud to help Tina return to Covington as managing partner," said John Alexander, regional vice president for LongHorn Steakhouse, in a press release.
"Tina bases all her decisions around LongHorn's core values and is a true personification of the brand. Her insatiable appetite for success drives her every day and the exceptional performance of her team is a direct reflection of that mentality."
Mayeaux is regarded by many as a mentor and has played a critical role in preparing a number of team members for management positions, according to the release.
"I'm very excited about the opportunity to return to Covington and serve guests in my community," said Mayeaux. "The experience of opening a new LongHorn location in Arkansas was invaluable -- and I look forward to using that knowledge daily as I lead my team."
