“Newton County BOC, please figure it out. If the Chamber of Commerce loses four good people in less than one year, who do you really think is the problem? Duh. Get new COC leadership and get it now!”

——

“Dear Newton High School and Newton County Board of Education, thank you for totally humiliating our entire county with a 16 percent drop in graduation rates. How in the world did this happen and who is going to get fired over this? No one? Then you will continue to get what you have with no one wanting to come to Newton except the wrong ones.”

——

“Can the Newton paper do an open records and try to find out who exactly is responsible for Newton High’s huge drop in rates of graduating seniors? This is disturbing. If you are going to spin it by mixing it up with some five-year grad rate, which is stupid, then at least tell us who made the errors. Who is the one person who should be fired or is it really that bad that 16 percent less students failed to graduate? I am ready to leave this town.”

——

“I looked at the 2013 graduation rates at the DOE website many times until my eyes hurt. I could not find any high school that dropped like Newton High. What is wrong with NCSS?”

——

“Let me be specific about the school rates. There is no wizardom in 16 percent drops. It is just up in heah, bad I say, just no wizardom at all on the Newton BOE.”

——

“Do bus drivers make good politicians?”
