Heritage boys keep winning on hardwood

The Heritage boy’s basketball team stayed undefeated with a 75-62 victory over Clarkston. Andre Harris helped out in a number of ways, leading the way with 14 points and adding five steals and three assists. The Patriots (5-0) held a three-point cushion after three quarters, but out-scored the visiting Angoras 28-18 in the final period.

“The team continued to play hard as we have done all season, (the) effort is great, but we need a lot of work with our execution,” said Heritage coach Vernon Denmark. “Silly fouls on our end kept the game closer than it should have been (but) we had a good 4th quarter to complete the victory.”

Terrell Rainey added 11 points, Jordan Thomas chipped in with 10 and Isaiah Banks grabbed 13 rebounds for the Patriots, who visit Clarke Central tonight in game two of a doubleheader. The girl’s game tips at 6:00 p.m.
