To our subscribers...

This week the Citizen newspapers are transitioning to a new delivery system. Four years ago, the delivery of our newspaper was outsourced and the Circulation staff here lost direct control over the quality of service. This week’s change once again gives us direct oversight of delivery and how our customers’ needs are being met. New carriers have been hired and they are fast learning their routes and subscriber expectations.

As in any change of this magnitude, there have been a few bumps in the road. Some deliveries have been missed or have been late. We are adding resources and working diligently to make certain these errors are few and short-lived.

Its okay...I wasnt that concerned about reading the news this week anyway. Didnt get my paper even AFTER I called to complain.

I didn't receive a paper on Tuesday, Wednesday - they mailed them. Thursday no paper and they said it would arrive after 2 PM. No Paper. Friday, No Paper and didn't bother contacting as I was advised Monday things would be better. 20 Minutes To Go before the deadline for delivery on my Sunday Paper.... I'm not hopeful.

And now no Citizen Poll for August 25, 2013 - not a good track record for a recent award winning publication - Hmmmm!
Maybe key staff is still celebrating.
