Georgia Retina — the state’s largest retina-only private practice, according to a release from the company — continues to grow and expand its services with the addition of retina specialist Dr. Hyung Cho.
Cho is treating patients at the new Georgia Retina Conyers office at 2395 Wall St., Suite 280.
In the release, Georgia Retina Chief Financial Officer Paul Lucas said, “We are very excited to have Dr. Cho join Georgia Retina. His presence at our new office in Conyers will greatly help us expand our services to patients in Rockdale County.”
Cho received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a graduate program of Yeshiva University. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York. He then completed a retina fellowship at Tufts New England Eye Center and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston in Massachusetts.
Cho has written several book chapters, published several peer reviewed journals, and has been a sub-investigator in more than 20 clinical trials. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
Cho also practices at the Georgia Retina Stockbridge office.
Georgia Retina is a retina-only medical practice treating diseases of the retina, macula and vitreous. Its eleven board-certified ophthalmologists have received special fellowship training in vitreo-retinal diseases and surgery, and are engaged in clinical trials with the goal of advancing research into retinal diseases, their causes and their cures.
