Dr. Mark Shurett, of Shurett Dental Group in Conyers, recently announced the addition of a 17th unit to the Help A Child Smile fleet of mobile dental offices.

Partnering with schools, Help A Child Smile provides comprehensive dental care to children at school. This care includes cleanings, X-rays, exams, fluoride treatment, sealants and restorative treatment. The dental care is provided inside of fully-equipped and self-contained mobile offices.

In the upcoming 2013-2014 school year, Help A Child Smile will partner with over 700 schools throughout Georgia providing comprehensive dental care to approximately 90,000 children.

Help A Child Smile also participates in charity events throughout the state such as Georgia Mission of Mercy (GMOM), Give Kids A Smile (a national event sponsored by the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association), Dentistry From The Heart and Special Olympics.

The addition of the new two-chair mini-mobile van will allow Help A Child Smile to provide service to smaller schools. This design also provides a good platform for follow-up restorative care.
