Dennard Chavis from Covington is reeling in his 3rd Bass of the morning out here at Turner Lake Complex. Chavis likes to come out to fish before he works the 3rd shift at Solo in Social Circle. Chavis has been fishing at TLC for over 12 years and knows where certain fish are located, he took over 1 year to work the entire lake to find where the bass, crappies, and catfish, carp, etc all the fish are. Chavis said he would like to see more kids fishing with their parents. Get them off the games, off the sofa and learn something. He said "teach a kid to fish and they feed themselves for a life time." Chavis has 4 children and they all know how to fish, his youngest, a 9 year daughter, loves it the best and its something they can do together. Charlie Elliott is suppose to have something going on this week end with kids and fishing.
