COVINGTON -- If you want to vote in the General Election but aren't yet registered, you must do so within the next week.
Monday, Oct. 8 is the last day to register to vote in the Nov. 6 General Election.
Residents of Newton County can register between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Board of Elections and Registration Office in the Newton County Administration Building at 1113 Usher Street. Rockdale residents can go to the Board of Elections at 1400 Parker Road, Lobby C, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Those who aren't sure about their registration status can visit the Secretary of State's website at sos.georgia.gov and click on My Voter Page to find out if they are already registered.
