Sailor Cody Stephenson

Cody K. StephensonSailor Cody K. Stephenson graduated from Recruit Training Command (RTC) at the Great Lakes Naval Station in Illinois on Aug. 3. Cody was in division 239 during his eight weeks at RTC. He encountered intensive discipline and knowledge which included Naval history, the fundamentals of small arms, water survival, line handling, fire fighting, military drills and battle stations 21.

He is currently attending a school for Aviation in Pensacola, Fla.

The Sailor is a 2012 graduate of Heritage High School. He is the son of Brian and Janice Stephenson of Conyers. He is the grandson of Thomas and Maxine Stephenson, Joy Freeman of Conyers and Leonard Freeman of Stockbridge.Jared A. SlatonAir Force Airman 1st Class Jared A. Slaton graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Slaton earned distinction as an honor graduate.

He is the son of Belinda Slaton of Conyers. He is the grandson of Erma Haley of Stockbridge. The airman is a 2008 graduate of Heritage High School, Conyers. He earned an associate degree in 2010 from Nashville Auto Diesel College in Tennessee.Ben C. HolladayAir Force Airman Ben C. Holladay is the son of Charles Holladay of Macon, and former ward of Faith Koch of Conyers. He is a 2011 graduate of Rockdale County High School.
