All of the High Schools in Newton County have issues. You don't hear about Eastside's issues because they are swept under the rug. Parents and Grandparents are notified by local law enforcement (especially the CPD) to come pick up their children so they don't have to arrest them. I know this because I saw it and knew of it happening. Parts of Newton County still have the "good ole boy" system!

I guess if Alcovy is the place to get illegal drugs and Newton is the bar, Eastside must be the pharmacy????? My kids tell me you can get any kind of prescription drug on the market there!!!

People wanted the Almighty out of the schools and they got their wish the year I was born, in 1962. Parents tolerate drugs, gangs, violence, and careerists who could not care less about the children, yet toss out the very thing that would cure most ills, and get all this at a high price in taxes. If you can afford private school, home school, or a religious school, place your kids there. If you can't afford it, pray, pray, pray. That's your only hope, but it's a good one...

@proudmommy you got that right. We have a place to get everything we need. AHS- drugs, NHS- alcohol, EHS-pharmacy. That is crazy. That's what is happening to out kids their being corrupted.
