Covington resident Austin Aldridge visited Heard-Mixon Elementary School to present Civil War artifacts to fifth-graders last week. Aldridge brought in many items that he has collected. The historical hobbyist has obtained the artifacts by having them either passed down through his family or being gifted to him.
