Thursday was a good day for music in the park as the Wheeler family, left to right, Conagher, 7, Emily, 9 and mom Aimee with the family dog Lolly on her lap -- discovered at the kick-off to the Arts Association in Newton County's popular September Concerts on the Square series. Thursday's offering was Athens-based Sans Abri. A free concert is set for each Thursday this month from noon to 1 p.m., as well as an additional concert co-hosted by Main Street Covington at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, featuring the Uptown Entertainment Band which will rock the Square with a Motown sound.
