A recent Saturday night auction drew only a modest-sized crowd because the University of Georgia Bulldogs played a game that evening.

Citizen photographer Lee Depkin captured these images of former grocery story manager turned licensed auctioneer Bobby Dykes who operates The General Store of Eatonton and Auction House. His son Branden is the "picker" and Dykes, a Covington resident, is the seller. Auctions are held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday nights in downtown Eatonton.
