Members of the Orders of the Eastern Star recently donated school supplies and clinic supplies to Flint Hill and Mansfield elementary schools and Cousins Middle School. "The Worthy Grand Matron over the State of Georgia is a retired school teacher and she asked that we support our local schools by providing supplies," said Barbara Ewing, a member of the Order of Eastern Star Madison Chapter, which meets on the Square in Covington. Ewing also drives a school bus and has grandchildren in the schools. The group is still collecting supplies; anyone wanting to make a donation should contact Martha Ewing at 770-784-9268 or 770-983-4031.
