Last year’s pancake supper was a huge success and Covington Lions are hoping for a repeat performance Thursday. The event will be held at the Lions clubhouse on Conyers Street from 5 to 8 p.m. It will feature plain, blueberry or chocolate chip panckes, with hot butter and hot maple syrup, Holyfield sausage rounds, coffee or chocolate milk. Tickets are $5 each and children under 7 can eat for $3. Tickets are available from any Lion, Mayfield’s Hardware in Newton Plaza, or by calling 770-860-1414. Proceeds will benefit Lions sight and hearing impairment charities within Newton County, as well as state and international charities. - Special photo
