@Photo CUTLINE:Newton Trails recently received a donation of $6,680.71 from Southern Bicycle League. The donation represents 50 percent of the charitable proceeds from the August 4 Covington Century Bike Ride. The other half of the proceeds went to two local animal rescue charities. Newton Trails will use this donation to purchase amenities benches, trash receptacles, bike racks, etc.- for the new Eastside Trail from Chimney Park to Eastside High School. Individuals wishing to contribute to purchasing additional items can visit www.newtontrails.org.
