Piedmont Academy FFA member, Kade Mitcham of Covington, was selected to participate in the annual Legislative Showdown cattle show. He taught state Senator Rick Jeffares how to show his beef heifer. The Legislative Showdown was designed to pair members of the state legislature with FFA and 4-H members to learn more about the agriculture education program in Georgia. The end of the program involves five Georgia representatives and five Georgia senators competing for a trophy to exhibit in the Georgia Capitol building.
