Picture-perfect springtime weather greeted festival-goers Saturday at the 31st annual Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival. After a couple of years of cold, wet weather, Mother Nature decided to cooperate this weekend with blue skies and warm temperatures. Thousands turned out for the event at the Georgia International Horse Park, which continues today, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Above, sketch artist David Schmitzer drew spectators throughout the day who watched as he created portrait sketches in about 10 minutes for $12.
