This long-legged male puppy is believed to be a Lab-mix. He's just getting accustomed to his collar and leash and is ready to train. When he's fully grown, he'll probably weigh between 50 to 60 pounds. He'll make a wonderful family pet and can be rescued and adopted at Rockdale County Animal Care and Control Shelter at 1506 Rockbridge Road in Conyers. At the Rockdale shelter adoption fees for dogs are $30 and $20 for cats. Spaying or neutering is required for adoption. This charming little guy is only 6 weeks old and he's all about finding himself a permanent family. He comes from a big litter, as he has nine brothers and sisters who are also at the shelter. He has been wormed and shots are pending. A retriever-mix, he obviously has a Golden Retriever as a close relative. He'll be a beautiful addition to any family and can be rescued and adopted at Newton County Animal Shelter, located at 210 Lower River Road in Covington. The shelter usually has between 20 to 30 dogs and an equal number of cats eligible for adoption. The adoption fee for a dog or puppy is $25 and $10 for a cat or kitten. Spaying/neutering is mandatory for all animals. The shelter is open from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The phone number is 770-786-9514.
