Newton Citizen
This long-legged male puppy is believed to be a Lab-mix. He's just getting accustomed to his collar and leash and is ready to train. When he's fully grown, he'll probably weigh between 50 to 60 pounds. He'll make a wonderful family pet and can be rescued and adopted at Rockdale County Animal Care and Control Shelter at 1506 Rockbridge Road in Conyers. At the Rockdale shelter adoption fees for dogs are $30 and $20 for cats. Spaying or neutering is required for adoption. The shelter is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The phone number is 770-278-8403. - Staff photo by Sue Ann Kuhn-Smith
Questions to ask before adopting a pet:
-- Can I make a long-term commitment to this pet?
-- Will I be able to spend enough time with a new pet?
-- Am I prepared for the cost a new pet will bring?
-- Which pet is right for my home and my family?
