COVINGTON -- Eastside's baseball team opened Region 4-AAA play against the Tigers on Friday making a strong statement with a 15-2 victory in five innings.

Drew Buckhault and Hitchcock would also hit singles in the eight-run inning. The Eagle offense continued to work well in the third plating five more runs on the strength of a two-out single by Cody Walker followed by couple of walks, singles by Wright and Briem and a double by Garrett.
Stockbridge did score one run the fourth when a leadoff walk crossed home plate as the Tigers garnered their first hit. Eastside added their final run on the scoreboard in the fourth inning as Jerold Sumner singled before being driven home by Walker's double.
