CONYERS -- State Rep. Pam Dickerson is sponsoring a Women's Wellness 2012 event June 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Salem High School.
The event is held in partnership with Newton Medical Center, Rockdale Medical Center, Dr. Rogsbert Phillips-Reed and Dr. Yara Robertson and the Gwinnett, Rockdale, Newton County Health Departments.
Dickerson said she is hosting the event out of concern for women who have limited or no access to health care in the local communities.
"It is important to me as a public servant to be able to give back to the community that I serve," said Dickerson. "I am very grateful to the Rockdale Medical Center, Women's Diagnostic Center@ Newton Medical, The Gwinnett, Rockdale, Newton Health Department, Dr. Rogsbert Phillips-Reed, Dr. Yara Robertson, both breast cancer surgeons, and other health professionals who will be partnering with me to offer these services free of charge. We want this event to be special and successful and look forward to providing this service to our community."
Screenings provided at the event include breast cancer, glucose, lipid, blood pressure, HPV and others.

Isnt it awful funny how all politicians become concerned about other people during election year? Seems if they were elected by those same people they should be concerned about them the other three years as well.
