An empty house at the intersection of Hill and Walnut streets was struck by a huge tree which did significant structural damage. Covington Fire Department Capt. Tony Smith said Wednesday city officials were in the process of getting in touch with the homeowner. He said it was undetermined whether the tree fell as a result of high winds or a lightning strike.-Staff photo by Sue Ann Kuhn-Smith
