The parade will kick off at 10 a.m., led by Grand Marshals/Citizens of the Year Hoyt and Latrelle Oliver. Social Circle will host a car show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by a parade at 5:30, a gospel concert at 6:30 and fireworks at dark. The city of Porterdale's festivities begin at 3 p.m. with live music and a parade down Main Street at 4 p.m. Cage wrestling will be held at 7 p.m. and fireworks will start at dark. The Community Band, directed by T.K. Adams, will perform a free patriotic concert from 5-6 p.m. on the Square in Covington. - Staff photo by Sue Ann Kuhn-Smith
