The Newton County Sheriff's Office has advised there was an error in the Newton Jail Blotter that was published on Sept. 16. An arrest was made on Sept. 7, of Ronnie Jay Vining Jr., 28. He was booked in in error using his father's date of birth. The father was not arrested nor charged in connection with the offense.
